These days I’m all about those quick and easy recipes that are super cute and tasty but don’t take up a lot of my time. This is one of those recipes!
I started a new Valentine’s Day tradition when I started staying home with Charlotte. Every Valentine’s Day we make a Valentine’s treat to hand-deliver to some friends and family. This year we’re making a sweet and salty Valentine’s Day popcorn mix!
This is a great snack for moms, dads, grandparents, friends, teachers, and all the other besties in your life!
Here’s what you’ll need to make your popcorn:
How to make this sweet & salty treat.
First, you’ll want to pop the popcorn. I used to make it even easier but you can totally pop your own! Lightly salt your popcorn as soon as it’s done.
Lay parchment or wax paper on the counter. Spread the popcorn out evenly on the paper. This is a good opportunity to pick out any kernels that didn’t pop.
Next, pour your pink and white chocolate into separate bowls and melt them. Melt them in the microwave for 15-20 seconds at a time until fully melted, stirring in between. You could also use a double boiler to melt your chocolates.
Drizzle your melted chocolates over the popcorn. You can just pour it straight from the bowl or use a fork to easily drizzle the chocolate.
Before the chocolate dries you’ll want to add your M&M’s and sprinkles. Add as much or as little as you’d like.
Allow the chocolate to dry and then break the decorated popcorn up into small, bite-sized pieces.
Grab your Valentine’s , fill them up, and deliver them to your loved ones!
