Sweet and Salty Valentine’s Day Popcorn

Valentine's Day popcorn

These days I’m all about those quick and easy recipes that are super cute and tasty but don’t take up a lot of my time. This is one of those recipes!

I started a new Valentine’s Day tradition when I started staying home with Charlotte. Every Valentine’s Day we make a Valentine’s treat to hand-deliver to some friends and family. This year we’re making a sweet and salty Valentine’s Day popcorn mix!

How to make it:

First, pop & lightly salt the popcorn.

Lay parchment or wax paper on the counter. Spread the popcorn out evenly on the paper. This is a good opportunity to pick out any kernels that didn’t pop.

Next, pour your pink and white chocolate into separate bowls and melt them. Melt them in the microwave for 15-20 seconds at a time until fully melted, stirring in between. You could also use a double boiler to melt your chocolates.

Drizzle your melted chocolates over the popcorn. Use a fork to easily drizzle the chocolate.

Add your M&M’s and sprinkles immediately.

Allow the chocolate to dry and then break the decorated popcorn up into small, bite-sized pieces.

Ingredients:

  • Popcorn
  • Salt
  • Pink or White Chocolate Chips
  • Valentine M&M’s
  • Valentine’s Sprinkles

Directions:

1. Pop the popcorn according to directions on package.

2. Lightly salt the popcorn.

2. Lay the popcorn out evenly on wax or parchment paper.

3. Remove any unpopped kernels.

4. Melt the pink and white chocolate.

5. Evenly drizzle chocolate over the popcorn.

6. Add M&M’s and sprinkles.

7. Allow chocolate to dry. About 15-20 minutes.

8. Break it apart and serve.
